XM is transforming radio, an industry that has seen
little technological change since FM, almost 40 years ago. XM is offering its
170
channels of digital-quality, coast-to-coast sound for
$12.95 a month with additional radios (up to 4) at $6.99 per month. Leading manufacturers offer 24 models of XM radios, a broad array
including universal models that will easily enable any existing car stereo system to
receive XM service, integrated AM/FM/XM systems, portable systems, and boom boxes. Each

Satellite signals are available from Mexico City to
200 miles north of the Canadian border, and 100 miles off the west and east coasts.

XM Satellite Radio Holdings began it's digital broadcast of 100 channels of
audio entertainment directly from two satellites to vehicles and homes throughout the
continental United States. XM seeks to become a premier nationwide provider of audio entertainment and information programming.
iBiquity
Digital(formerly USA Digital
Radio) is the sole developer and licenser of digital AM and FM broadcast technology in the
U.S., which will transform today's analog radio to digital.
Sirius
Satellite Radio Inc., formerly CD
Radio Inc., introduced it's satellite subscription radio service in July 2002. The service
broadcasts up to 100 channels of audio entertainment directly from three satellites to
vehicles throughout the continental United States.
Motorola's iRadio service will launch in 2006. The service
will include 435 commercial-free radio channels. iRadio will also let users
download channels on the computer and transfer them to play on their phones
or on car or home stereos, like satellite radio. The phones will hold up to
70 hours of music.

and information to businesses around the world via satellite, private radio signal, and
through on-site systems to approximately 250,000 customer locations in the U.S. and 15
foreign countries, and is heard by more than 80 million people each day.
DMX Music is a global leader in
delivering unparalleled personal music experiences via digital cable,
satellite and the Internet to over 10 million homes, 180,000 businesses and
30 airlines.
Worldspace
Corporation provides digital broadcast of audio and
multimedia programs directly from satellites to compact, portable receivers.
DIRECTV delivers more than 225 channels in digital-quality
picture and sound, including an 31 designated music channels via home satellite system.
EchoStar Communications Corporation has been a leader in the satellite TV industry for
20 years and is the parent company of its small dish service, DISH Network.
